2. General information

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional platform and our content and services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

3. Hosting and server log files

When you visit our pages, information transmitted by your browser is automatically collected: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser and operating system. This data is used for technical operation, security and error analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after a few days.

4. Registration and user account

Using favourites, watchlists and the dashboard requires a user account. We process your e-mail address, name, password (stored encrypted) and the profile data you provide, such as address, phone and interests. The legal basis is contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5. Auction houses

If you register as an auction house, we additionally process company data, contact persons, logo, billing and contract data as well as the auctions and ads you publish. This information is publicly visible to the extent required for presentation on the platform.

6. Enquiries and contact forms

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process your details to handle the request. Enquiries about an auction are forwarded to the respective auction house so it can reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

7. Newsletter

With your consent we send you our newsletter with auction highlights. Registration uses a double opt-in procedure; you can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8. Cookies and local storage

We use technically necessary cookies and local storage to remember your login, language setting and sector selection. Statistical evaluations are aggregated and do not personally identify you. We do not use tracking cookies requiring consent without your approval.

9. Payment processing

For paid packages we use payment service providers. Complete payment data (e.g. credit card number) is processed directly by the payment provider and is not stored by us. We only receive information about payment status, amount and time of payment.

10. Social media and sharing

Our pages contain buttons linking to social networks. These are simple links; personal data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click the button. Their own privacy notices apply to processing on the linked platforms.

11. Recipients and transfers to third countries

To provide the service we use carefully selected providers for hosting, e-mail delivery, payment processing and AI-supported translations. Transfers to the USA are based on standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

12. Storage period

We store personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by statutory retention obligations. After deletion of your account, data is removed unless retention obligations apply.

13. Your rights

To exercise your rights, a message to info@auctioncalendar.app is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
